Sonequa Martin-Green Biography

Sonequa Martin-Green is a beautiful and talented American actress and producer. She is mainly known for portraying Sasha in the series of  ‘The Walking Dead’ . She is also known for appearing on ‘Once Upon a Time’ as Tamara and as Courtney  in ‘The Good Wife’ . Sonequa has starred in several independent films and movies.

EARLY YEARS & EDUCATION

She was born as Sonequa Martin on 21 March 1985, in Russellville, Alabama, United States of America. She was raised Russellville with her  three older half-sisters and one full sister. Initially, Martin-Green decided to become a psychologist but later decided to pursue a career in acting when she was in the tenth grade.

Martin-Green attended the University of Alabama and graduated in 2007 after earning a degree in theatre. Shortly after graduation, she  moved to New York in pursuit of an acting career. She lived in NY for over five years with his husband before they moved to California

Sonequa Martin-Green started acting in films since 2005 and has played many recurring roles in TV shows, including NYC 22, Once Upon a Time and The Good Wife. In 2005, she played as Coco Delight in the movie ‘Not Quite Right’.She also played in I-Can_d as a VJ in 2007. In 2008, she played as Jenna Lopez in the film Blind Thoughts. In 2009, Martin-Green played in two movies ‘Toe to Toe’ as Tosha Spinner, opposite Louisa Krause  and ‘Rivers Wash Over Me’ as Shawna King. In 2011, she acted as Rachel in ‘Da Brick’ and as Jojo Parker in ‘Yelling to the Sky’. In 2012, she played as Private Lang in ‘Shockwave Darkside’.

Martin-Green has done many television roles. In 2008, she played the role of Kiana Richmond in ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’. She played as Vanessa Jones in ‘Army Wives’ in 2009. From 2009 to 2011′ she was cast in ‘The Good Wife’ as Courtney Wells. In 2011, she played in ‘Gossip Girl’ as Joanna in its first episode. In 2012, she portrayed Michelle Terry in NYC 22. Martin-Green started joining the cast member of ‘The Walking Dead’ since 2012. She also had a recurring role as Tamara in the second season of ‘Once Upon a Time’ in 2013 and made a guest appearance in its season 3.
