After some years of dating, Lisa and Buddy Valastro tied the knot on October 14, 2001, and the beautiful wedding created the perfect setting for a journey that was to begin between the two of them. Lisa and Buddy have added four children to their family: Sofia, Bartolo “Buddy” III, Marco, and Carlo—all of whom have appeared on the family’s hit reality show, “Cake Boss.”

Reality TV Career

When Lisa’s husband’s bakery, Carlo’s Bakery, became the TLC reality show “Cake Boss,” everything changed. Her husband and she became stars of the show, as did many members of their extended family. Her innate grace, sense of humor, and dedication to Buddy made her a very early fan favorite on the show.

Today, Lisa’s social media following has grown to over 700,000 followers on Instagram alone, allowing her to share bits and pieces of her family’s life to connect with fans.

Health Issues

Lisa has, however, had her share of health challenges despite all the joys of family life. In 2021, she underwent a hysterectomy after recurring bouts of pain. She had her right ovary and fallopian tubes removed during surgery, as well as her uterus, due to a cyst.

Though Lisa rose into the limelight from her appearances on the show “Cake Boss,” she has appeared as a guest on many other famous shows. In 2018, Lisa appeared in an episode of the show “Extra” and in 2019 on the show “Bake You Rich.”
