Google Doodle celebrates Maya Angelou’s 90th Birthday, An Honour for an Honorable Legend
‘Some people never die’, And Dr. Maya Angelou is one of them. Maya left the world years ago but, her work is still appreciated and respected by the world. And Google marks the 90th birth anniversary of Maya with a special doodle.
An American poet, singer, memoirist, and civil rights activist, Maya was born on April 4, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Maya had a respected life, and Wednesday’s Google Doodle celebrates it on the honor of her 90th birthday.

Maya was best known as a world-famous author and poet who published seven autobiographies and several books of poetry.
However, Her early life was traumatic and heartbreaking. At the age of 7, she was sexually abused and raped by her mother’s boyfriend. But he was luckily released from jail after one day. And four days after his release, he was murdered probably by Maya’s uncles. She said,
“I thought, my voice killed him; I killed that man because I told his name.”
Dr. Maya received dozens of Awards and honors for her works in her entire life. President Barack Obama honored her with Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011.
And now Google honors her work even after her death, it’s such a proud moment for her fans and families.
Maya died on May 28, 2014, at the age of 86, still lives in our heart!!!!!!!!!
