Julie Stewart-Binks was born on 30th April 1987, in Toronto, Ontario. She is the daughter of Will Stewart and Georgie Binks. Her mother is an author of A Crack in the Pavement. She has a younger brother named Ian Stewart-Binks in Canada. She grew up in Canada, where she attended Havergal College.

Then, Stewart-Binks went to attend Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and graduated from there in 2009. Stewart-Binks also graduated from City University in London, where she earned her master’s degree in international broadcast journalism in 2010.

Stewart-Binks began her journalism career as a program assistant at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 2010. At the CBC; she covered the National Hockey League working on the popular Hockey Night in Canada show.

Then, she served as a reporter and anchor on Fox Soccer Report at Fox Soccer Channel from July 2011 to Oct 2011, writing and editing highlight packs from soccer leagues around the world: Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, MLS, etc. Voiced soccer packs, and trained to anchor.

In 2011, she also worked for CTV in Canada as a reporter and anchor, where she anchored a late night and weekend sportscast, reporting on local, university, and professional sports, trained as a video journalist and editor

Julie Stewart-Binks was hired by FOX Sports 1 on June 2013. She has covered 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada. Including the sport in her home country, she earned critical acclaim for her insightful reporting from 20 games in seven different Canadian cities during the tournament.

Julie Stewart-Binks currently works as a sports reporter for ESPN since December 2016.
