Leo Leite is a professional Brazilian mixed martial artist who currently competes in Light Heavyweight division of Bellator MMA. Furthermore, he is also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo fighter. Leite began his professional MMA career in 2013.

Leo Leite Early life and Education

Leo Leite was born on 25th March 1978, in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He belongs to a Brazilian nationality. Leite grew up along with his two brothers and a sister. However, Leite hasn’t revealed any information about his parents and siblings.

Leite began his career since his early age in 1984 and at the age of 10, he competed at official competitions of the Judo Federation of Rio de Janeiro and the Brazilian Judo Confederation.

In 1984, Leo Leite began his Judo career and at the age of 10, he began competing at official competitions of the Judo Federation of Rio de Janeiro and the Brazilian Judo Confederation. He was placed in Brazilian Junior national team in 1997 and was called to lead Brazilian judo team in 1998. Leite led the Brazilian judo team until 2012. 

Likewise, Leite further pursued his career in jiu-jitsu in 1993 and competed at World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in 1999. Leite won the championship by defeating Mario Sperry in the final.

Leite began his MMA career in 2013 competing at Luta Contra o Crack. He made his MMA debut on 23rd June 2013 and won the fight against Alessandro Macedo via submission.

After that, Leite competed at BC and  WOCS 31 where he won the fights against Diosman Nery de Jesus, Fabio Marongiu, and Elias Mendonca. Leite then competed at Legacy Fighting Champion which he won by defeating Ryan Spann in the finals.

On 3rd November 2017, he made his Bellator debut at  Bellator 186. However, Leite lost the fight against Phil Davis via decision. Moreover, he also hosts MMA and Judo.

The 40 years old MMA fighter, Leo Leite is not married yet. However, he is in a relationship with Carol Guarnieri. It seems that the couple has been dating since long. Although the couple is dating, they haven’t mentioned any plans of getting engaged or married.
