Flanagan started her journalism career at KCCO-TV in Alexandria, Minn in 1993, where she used to work as a reporter and weekend anchor. After one year later, she joined WSFA-TV in Montgomery, Alaska.
Before joining ESPN, Flanagan served for the Fox Sports Network. She featured reporter on “The Keith Olbermann Evening News”. She worked as a reporter for “The National Sports Report”. Moreover, she was also a producer/reporter on the Emmy-nominated weekly sports investigative magazine show “Goin’Deep.”
Before joining the NFL Network, Flanagan worked at ESPN. She spent five years reporting from the college football sidelines. She also served as a sideline reporter for the College World Series, The Women’s Tennis Association’s Tour Championships, and the NCAA women’s basketball tournament.
As a reporter for SportsCenter, she reported the NBA playoffs, spring training, and the NCAA’s Men’s basketball tournament. While at ESPN she also did a weekly segment for NFL Monday night countdown. She also served as a co-host of the Home Depot College Football Awards and ESPN Classic road shows.
Flanagan is NBC’s sideline reporter for Notre Dame Football home games. She also serves in the same capacity for NFL Network for coverage of its Thursday night games. Flanagan has been a host and reporter for numerous programs on NFL Network since 2006.
