Later in 1988, Rodriguez released her first album entitled Habrá Música Guajira (There Will Be Guajira Music). On April 15, 1993, she moved to the United States.
In the United States, Rodriguez began performing at Spanish food restaurant in Miami. She released her second album, Si se da la siembra. Similarly, she further released her other album Cantare in 1992. Later, Rodriguez was signed by Emilio Estefan‘s Crescent Moon label in 1994. The same year, she released her first single “Qué Manera de Quererte.”
