Elisha Cuthbert Biography

Canadian actress and model, Elisha Cuthbert is known as one of the sexiest women in the world. She is best recognized for her works on American thriller series “24,” where she played Kim Bauer.

Early Life & Education

Born to on 30^th November 1982 as Elisha Ann Cuthbert in Canada. Elisha was raised in Quebec by her parents. Her mother Patricia is a housewife and her father, Kevin is an automotive design engineer. Elisha was raised along with his siblings- Lee- Ann Cuthbert (younger sister) and Jonathan Cuthbert (younger brother).  She graduated from Centennial High School in 2000.

Career

From the very young age, Elish was interested in modeling and acting. At the age of 9, she started her career as a child model and became a foot model. She also appeared in a children horror movie named, Are You Afraid of the Dark? Moreover, Elisha earned fame at some extent after co-hosting Canadian Children television series, Popular Mechanics for kids with another co-host, Jay Baruchel in Montreal from 1997-2000.

In 1997, at the age of 14, she debuted in a family-drama named, Dancing on the Moon. After that, she appeared in a drama film, Airspeed as a lead role. Furthermore, Elisha starred in the movie, My Daughter’s Secret Life (a movie about a high school teenager). In 2000, she was known internationally after appearing in the thriller show, Series 24.

Later on, Elisha did many of the movies like- The Girl Next Door, a teen comedy movie (2004) and a horror film, The House of Wax (2005). Her movie, Captivity was listed one of the worse horror movies ever, and she was also listed as one of the worst actresses too.

From 2011-2013, Elisha starred in the famous series named, Happy Ending. Furthermore, she was signed for NBC sitcom pilot, One Big Happy with a lead role. Her career in acting industry continues, as in 2015 also, she was signed for the sequel of 2001, Goon. There is the recent news that Elisha Cuthbert is out of the Hollywood as she is taking a break from the acting field from 2017.

Elisha was and is till now listed in top sexiest women of the world by different magazines and pages such as- Stuff Magazine (2002), FHM(2005, 2006,2008), Maxim Magazine (2008, 2011), FHM UK (2010) and so on.

Elisha got a nomination for various prestigious awards and also won some of them. She was awarded Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in Leading Role for Lucky Girl ( 2001); Online Film Critics Society Award (2003); and Washington DC Area Film Critics Association Award (2003). She was nominated for MTV Movie Awards, Razzie Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards and Teen Choice Awards and so on.

Elisha, the woman with sexy personality, was dating NHL Hockey player, Sean Avery. After months of dating, they broke up with no revealed reasons.

In September 2012, Elisha got engaged to her longtime boyfriend named, Dion Phaneuf. Later on, they got married on 6^th July 2013. Their wedding was held in Summer-field, Prince Edward Island at St. James Catholic Church. Her current husband Dion is a professional ice- hockey player.
