Indira Varma is one of the popular characters of the HBO fantasy television series, Game of Thrones who played a role of the Ellaia Sand. Similarly, she is also known for her roles Maya in the film Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love and Issa Pucci in the series, Human Target.

The British actress, Indira Varma honed an acting experience from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). She graduated from there in the year of 1995. Besides, at that time, she was also the member of the Musical Youth Theatre Company.
Having a keen interest in acting, later Indira made an appearance in both movies and series in the same year in 1996. Her first movie and series are Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love and Crucial Tales respectively. A year later, she then played Bianca in Shakespeare’s Othello at the National Theatre, London. Consecutively, she then portrayed many influential roles in several theatre plays, movies, and series but she gained popularity and success after appearing in the Game of Thrones as Ellaria Sand.
